Washington Commanders Pep Rally at Diener: A Day to Remember

Dear Reader, We are still buzzing with excitement after the incredible pep rally we hosted with the Commanders! 🎉 It was an absolute blast celebrating our fourth graders' NFL project and cheering on the Commanders as they head into the playoffs! WUSA9 was even there to capture all the action, and we were featured on the news! Check out the video here!​ We also shared many of these amazing moments on our social media! Here’s a quick look at the awesome project that made this pep rally possible: Our fourth graders, led by Ms. Michelle and Mr. Lucas, have been diving deep into the NFL world this season! They’ve stepped into the shoes of team owners, drafted players, and researched their favorite teams. Along the way, they’ve been practicing math, history, and writing skills, all while tracking stats, creating graphs, and getting into the game every Tuesday for "Team Tuesdays." It’s been an exciting and engaging project, blending multi-sensory learning with students' passions. The pep rally was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work, and the students had an unforgettable time! Here’s what went down:
